This role is based in Farnborough, Hampshire with 2 days per week in the office. Our office is within walking distance of the train station and has free parking. This is a full-time position, however work life balance is important to us and so we are open to discussion on flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week).
Salary: £58,000 - £64,000 + bonus
About the role:
Reporting to the Marketing Director, you’ll be part of the Senior Leadership Team and responsible for delivering the marketing strategy for brand and content. You’ll work closely with the Creative Design Lead to ensure everything we produce represents the Explore brand and personality. You’ll work closely with all members of the Marketing Team (both those based in the UK and overseas) and with the wider business, external agencies and suppliers. Key responsibilities:
- Plan and implement the marketing budget for your channels, to support business and marketing objectives.
- Ensure the brand guidelines and assets are kept up to date, and that everyone in the business is supported to ensure all messaging remains on brand.
- Plan the email content calendar, and automated and triggered email content in conjunction with the digital and marketing teams in territories outside of the UK.
- Work with the digital team and external agencies to find SEO content opportunities on the website, and manage production of that content.
- Ensure campaigns are put live, and removed from the website in a timely manner.
- Ensure web content is kept up to date.
- Contribute to projects other parts of the marketing team are managing – particularly with regard to producing requested copy/proofreading.
- Lead the team to plan and develop each campaign ensuring all assets are on brand and ready on time.
- Work with the Business Intelligence team to finalise hero trips, T&Cs and campaign details as well as the Trade and International teams to adapt materials for all markets.
- Co-ordinate the wrap-up of results after each campaign ensuring key learnings are captured.
- Work with the Creative Design Lead to ensure all marketing activity is on brand and the best it can be. This includes working with several external freelance designers.
- Branded merchandise, across all markets. Considering what we need
and working in collaboration with Explore’s Sustainability Expert work to make it the most sustainable option possible. - Work with the Media Executive to create on brand video content for campaigns, events, paid media activity and the website.
- Lead the planning and execution of photography and video shoots to grow the amount of original assets available to the team.
- Support the Media Executive with the management of our image library, working to keep it up to date, GDPR compliant and making sure that all assets match our Ethical Marketing Guidelines.
- Lead on the production of advertising creative, inline with the brand and company objectives. This will include integrated media campaigns.
- Manage supplier relationships to keep activity optimised, to deadline and on budget.
- Manage and motivate an enthusiastic and capable team, through coaching and mentoring. Ensure individuals are supported and developed to achieve their potential.

- Excellent attention to detail with a strong desire for accuracy and quality.
- Proven skills in proof-reading, copywriting and editing.
- Previous involvement in creation of a content plan.
- Experience of planning and managing an annual budget.
- Committed to putting the customer at the centre of their work.
