The commercial team at Explore is responsible for business intelligence, pricing, and capacity management. Typically, this involves providing a suite of reports and analysis to the business, including sales trends, price analysis, creation of promotions, yield management, and re-pricing.
The team works with all parts of the business. For example, they provide analysis for strategic work with the management team, support promotions and PR via the marketing team, and supply product performance reports and sales trends for use by the product team and for financial forecasting. Capacity management is key to our profitability, and this is a significant part of what we do, with knowing where to add or take away capacity based on analysis being extremely important.
