This role is based in Farnborough, Hampshire with 2 days per week in the office. Our office is within walking distance of the train station and has free parking. This is a full-time position, however work life balance is important to us and so we are open to discussion on flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week). Working hours: Weekdays: 09:00-17:30 or 10:30-19:00 Saturday 09:00-17:30, Sunday 10:00-16:00 Working 2 to 3 weekend days a month, usually in a in/off weekly pattern but this can be amended based on staffing levels.

About the role:
You are the frontline in helping potential customers understand the benefits of small group adventure travel with Explore. Focused on increasing revenue through our sales through service mantra, you will strive to convert at the highest level all lines of enquiry.
A typical working day:
- Maximise sales opportunities via all channels and consistently achieve targets and KPIs
- Actively chase all personal and assigned leads generated and attempt to convert to bookings
- Use sound judgement to manage difficult situations and respond promptly to the needs of the customer
- Execute all assigned tasks efficiently, ensuring team targets and KPIs are met
- Ensuring a customer focused approach is adopted in all assigned responsibilities
- Flexible shift patterns as assigned – the role is full time 37.5 hours per weeks - out of hours shifts may sometimes be required
- Working in various contact channels, including phone, email, live chat and social media
- Continuous product training including in-office training and training trips
- Continuous sales training
- Minimum performance thresholds e.g. sales conversion
- Participate in trade shows and customer events as required
- A flexible attitude in the undertaking of all tasks is paramount

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accuracy, quality and attention to detail
- Strong team player
In addition, these are desirable areas:
- Travel industry sales experience
- Proven results in maximising sales
- Detailed understanding of the sales and booking process
- GDS experience
