This role is based in Toronto with 2 days per week in the office. This is a full-time position, however work life balance is important to us and so we are open to discussion on flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week).
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 + bonus
About the role:
The PR & Partnerships Specialist will be instrumental in amplifying our brand's presence and engaging our audiences across North America. This pivotal role involves identifying and developing new partnership opportunities, managing these relationships from kick off through to completion, and continuously tracking and analyzing campaign performance to refine our strategies.
Another key aspect to this role is media relations. You’ll be the go-to contact for our PR agency, helping respond to media inquiries, coordinating press trips, and crafting compelling stories that bring the Explore Worldwide brand to life in the North American market. You will also collaborate extensively with our global marketing team, which spans across the UK and Australia, to ensure a cohesive and unified marketing strategy.
- Partnership Development: Identify, engage, and nurture strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations that can amplify our brand presence and align with our core values.
- Media Relations: Work closely with our PR agency to promote our brand through various media outlets. Coordinate media interviews, oversee the execution of press trips, and handle media inquiries to ensure optimal brand representation.
- Brand Storytelling: Craft and convey compelling stories that resonate with the North American audience, highlighting our commitment to sustainability and adventure, and ensure all communication is aligned with our global brand ethos and local market nuances.
- Event Management: Assist with the planning and execution of events that effectively communicate our brand values and engage both new and existing customers, from press launches to consumer-facing expos and webinars.

We are looking for a skilled communicator with a talent for building relationships to join our growing marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in turning strategic visions into successful partnerships and impactful stories.
- You’re experienced in brand partnerships and media relations, ideally within the travel, tourism, or lifestyle sectors.
- You have a track record of identifying and cultivating partnerships that align with our mission of sustainable and impactful travel. Your negotiation skills and ability to seal deals that provide mutual value are essential.
- You excel in managing media relationships and executing PR campaigns with precision. You understand the importance of orchestrating media coverage and engaging with journalists to amplify our brand’s presence in key markets.
- You’re a team player who is comfortable working independently and within a growing global team. Your excellent communication skills allow you to liaise effectively with colleagues across multiple countries and time zones.
- You are familiar with the US and Canadian markets, and know how to create and pitch stories that speak to a North American audience.
